About me

My name is Lalli Savolainen and I am a fashion designer, make-up artist and a hairstylist living in Finland. 

 

I have been working within the fashion and beauty industry since the 80´s. 

 

I studied for six years fashion design and I specialized into a studio seamstress. I also graduated from the home - and handicraft industrial design school in Finland. 

 

Since 1998 I have been working under my own name. 

 

I have worked in multiple TV- productions, such as Top Chef and Olet mitä syöt as a stylist, make-up artist and hairstylist.

 

I have also organized multiple shows and courses.

 

During the recent years I have also designed gowns for our Independence ball held at the President´s house. 

 

In 2011 I launched my first clothing collection under my label. The collection consisted of cocktail wear that was inspired by the 30´s, 40´s and 50´s different waistlines, and by the essence of different fabrics. For my first collection I brought influences from Christian Dior´s New Look in 1947. My first collection can be described as feminine and delicate with a touch of sheerness and lightness. 

 

In 2012 I launched my second collection. Compared to my first collection, this collection is all about casual wear. This collection is more grungy with a feminine touch and the collection has been inspired by the Slavic times. 

 

My summer 2013 collection is vintage inspired and the main piece of this collection is my " Lotta dress" inspired by the 40´s and 50´s. 

 

For the fall 2013 collection you can expect it to be comfortable, luxurious and delightful with a touch of femininity. The main idea of this collection is that women can wear these clothes from from day to night looking and feeling chic at all times! 

 

As a designer I want all my collections to reflect the well being of women. My collections are ought to be very luxurious and well made, but most importantly they are made with love and passion.
